Peter “Mac” McDonald, 79 of Temperance, MI, died Sunday, December 08, 2013 in his home. Born April 4, 1934 in Cherry Tree, PA, he was the son of Flory A. and Mary (Savonavich) McDonald. Mac served his country in the US Air Force for 4 years and then in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, serving during both in the Korean and Vietnam War. Peter was then employed by the former Interstate Trucking in Erie, MI. He was an active member of the American Legion Post, 192, in Temperance, MI and the V.F.W., 9656 in Lambertville, MI. Mac enjoyed reading and fishing.
He is survived by his loving children, Tabbitha Roderick, Larry (Marcy) Reed and Gary (Penny) Reed. Brother, Jack (Rose) McDonald, Sister, Debbie Culbertson. 5 grandchildren, Dylan, Jacquelyn, Alicia, Douglas and Thomas. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Howe.
A memorial service will be Friday, December 13, 2013 at 11:00 am in Erie United Methodist Church, 1100 M-151, Erie, MI 48133. Pastor Megan Walther, officiating. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
